A vintage look-a-like of the Inaugural outfit worn by First Lady Michelle Obama was discovered in our Re-Runs consignment department in the back of our store.The two piece yellow brocade outfit with beaded neckline is a spitting image of the stunning ensemble worn by First Lady Michelle Obama at the Presidential Inauguration.
The one-of-a-kind custom made vintage two piece ensemble (sleeveless coat and zipper-backed dress size 4-6) was made to order for the grandmother of one of the boutique's regular customers in 1948.
The owner of the boutique, Lynn Dell, is offering the vintage outfit to a lucky bidder by online auction. Bids, starting at $120.90 (in honor of the January 20th, 2009 Inauguration) can be submitted on the auction's listing at ebay.com. It can be viewed in theWest 72nd Street window(between Broadway and the Columbus Avenue) in New York City's Upper West Side.
